Oregon
In 2001 after selling the boat and my home of the past eight years, I bought a new home in Tigard, Oregon. Actually, I had signed up for it in November of 2000, but because I had much to do in wrapping things up in California, construction did not begin until May 1 of 2001. Once the Pebble Beach house was sold, I packed up and headed for the Northwest and a one-bedroom apartment while I awaited completion of my new home. I spent the summer of 2001 visiting the construction site every day until at last it was completed and I was able to move in on 17 October. The finished product is shown here; I will have a few of the construction photos later.

January 27, 2002: they told me it snows in Portland. Not bad, though, after living in DC and Denver at times past. This was gone by the end of the next day. Lower photo is just outside my doorstep.

Here's Point Sur from the deck at Ventana (from north, looking south). Quite different from the photo from the south looking north in my Photo Gallery page. |

| Here's a shot looking north, a bit further up the coast from the Point Sur view above. | ![]() |
